A contested divorce means you and your spouse disagree on one or more key issues — dividing property, child custody arrangements, parenting time, child support amounts, or alimony. You don't need to disagree on everything for a divorce to be contested; even one unresolved issue qualifies.
Do we have to go to court if we're contested?
